Diaprepes Task Force members include growers as well as scientists and administrators from Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - Division of Plant Industry, the University of Florida - Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences, and the United States Department of Agriculture - Agriculture Research Service.
The Indian River Soil and Water Conservation District was formed in 1945 under the authority of Chapter 582 Florida Statutes by a group of landowners who felt a need for conserving soil and water resources in this area. The District is a political subdivision of the State of Florida managed by a board of supervisors elected from within the District. The boundaries of the District coincide with those of Indian River County.
